One Killed, Two Others Injured in I-95 Crash
One person has died and another two people are injured after a car accident in Sussex County. The single-vehicle crash occurred around 6 AM the morning of September 14, 2017. Police say they received word that a car had crashed on I-95 southbound near mile marker 18. They arrived to find the driver of the car dead and two passengers injured.
Because the crash is still under investigation, not much information has been released about the collision. We know that the accident only involved one vehicle and that the driver was killed in the collision. The two surviving victims are said to have sustained non-life threatening injuries.
We send our condolences to the family of the driver and best wishes to the injured victims for their recovery process.
Filing an injury claim after a car accident caused by a friend can be difficult. The challenge is made even harder when the friend is killed in the crash. Still, accident victims have the right to pursue damages after a crash caused by a negligent driver. While some see filing a claim as a betrayal of their friendship and the memory of the driver, the reality is that being injured in a crash is expensive. Ambulance rides, hospital stays, prescription drugs and ongoing appointments for things like physical therapy all add up.
