Middlesex Co. Crash Kills Senior Citizen
A man has died after succumbing to injuries he sustained in a Middlesex County car accident. The crash occurred in the small town of Deltaville, where two cars collided at the intersection of Route 1043 just after 5:00 PM. The man was driving a Chevy Cruze westbound on Route 33 when he slowed to make a left turn. A Ford Focus struck his vehicle from behind. The man was taken to the hospital where he later passed away.
No charges have been filed against the driver of the Ford, but the investigation into the crash has not yet concluded. Charges are still possible for the driver, if they were indeed responsible for the collision.
We send our condolences to the family and loved one of the man killed in the wreck.
Rear-End Accidents
It’s hard to know why the driver of the Ford crashed into the Chevy, but rear end accidents like this one often result from distracted drivers. If the person driving the Ford was using their cell phone or took their eyes off the road for even a moment, it’s possible that they looked up too late to prevent a collision. At low speeds, this accident might have resulted in a simple fender bender. At a higher speed, though, crashes like this one are often fatal.
