Two people in the SUV, including a juvenile, were hospitalized. The accident is under investigation.

Head-On Collisions

Head-on collisions are some of the deadliest kinds of accidents. They are often caused by drunk, drugged, distracted or drowsy drivers. There’s no way to tell what caused this particular accident, but it’s likely that one or more of these factors played a role in this accident.

Most head-on collisions occur late at night. It’s the time of day when drivers are more likely to be driving drunk or feeling sleepy behind the wheel. Given the relatively early hour of this crash, it’s not easy to speculate the exact cause of the crash.

Unfortunately, there’s not much a driver can do to avoid a head-on collision when they see a car swerving into their lane. That’s why it pays to be vigilant and drive defensively. Even still, the most experienced, focused drivers can find themselves as victims in head-on collisions.
