Are there any independent lawyer reviews I can rely on?
Yes. We recommend that any person looking for a lawyer to represent them, spend the time to conduct some research of the published information concerning lawyers in our state.
The best of these reviews are independent peer reviews. In other words, you should consult research conducted confidentially and independently which asks lawyers to rate other lawyers in the state of Virginia for competence, expertise, and ethical conduct. Here are the three best resources:
- Membership in Best Lawyers in America
- Peer Ratings in the Martindale-Hubble Directory
- Recognition in the “Virginia Super Lawyers” annual publication
Law Offices of Richard J. Serpe, PC
Only a very small percentage of attorneys obtain membership in these organizations, and an even smaller percentage still are able to achieve recognition in all three. I am happy to report that our firm has the highest possible rating from Martindale-Hubbell Directory, and I have achieved membership in both the Best Lawyers in America and recognition in the Virginia Super Lawyer magazine.
